About the area

Ararat system sources water from Mt Cole Reservoir and Lake Fyans. Ararat system services the townships of Ararat and Great Western.

Ararat has a treatment plant producing potable water for urban supply.

This system is supplied by Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water.
