About the area

Wimmera Mallee Pipeline Supply System 3 sources surface water from Wimmera headworks at Lake Bellfield and/or Taylors Lake. The system supplies rural customers to the northeast of Horsham and urban customers in Birchip, Glenorchy, Marnoo, Minyip, Rupanyup and Watchem.

Treatment plants are located at Birchip and Rupanyup, chlorinator at Minyip and untreated water is supplied at Glenorchy, Marnoo and Watchem.

This system is supplied by Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water.
