About the area
This summary reports on water supplied through combined the Wimmera Mallee Pipeline Supply Systems 1, 2 & 7. These 3 systems, which were previously reported separately in the Accounts, have been combined into one report to reflect shared inflow meter points and a close geographical proximity. This change improves the robustness of the reporting while maintaining the ability of readers to find data relevant to their local pipeline system.
Supply systems 1, 2 and 7 source surface water from Wimmera headworks at Lake Bellfield and/or Taylors Lake.
Supply system 1 supplies rural customers in the southwest Wimmera and urban customers in Pimpinio, Dimboola, Antwerp, Yaapeet, Jeparit, Rainbow and Tarranyurk. Treatment plants are located at Dimboola and Rainbow, and untreated water is supplied at Pimpinio, Antwerp, Yaapeet, Jeparit and Tarranyurk.
Supply System 2 supplies rural customers as far north as Lascelles and urban customers in Jung, Murtoa, Warracknabeal, Brim, Beulah, Hopetoun, Woomelang and Lascelles. Treatment plants are located at Warracknabeal, Murtoa and Hopetoun, chlorinators at Jung, Brim, Beulah and Woomelang and untreated water is supplied at Lascelles.
Supply System 7 supplies rural customers in the south Wimmera and urban customers in Dadswells Bridge. The supply to Dadswells Bridge remains untreated.
These systems are supplied by Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water.
