- South East Water is one of Melbourne’s three retail water corporations. It obtains treated bulk water from Melbourne Water and operates a single, integrated water supply system covering south-east Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula and part of South Gippsland.

2021-22 overview
Urban deliveries
155,079 ML of urban residential and non-residential deliveries were made in 2021-22, similar to the previous year (149,663 ML in 2020-21).
Wastewater recycled at treatment plants
26% of wastewater was recycled (3,437 ML of 13,474 ML).

Recycled water
Water recycled at wastewater treatment plants can be used to supplement water available in river basins. Table 2 below lists the wastewater treatment plants managed by South East Water. Water discharged to the environment from treatment plants is included as an inflow to the water balance for each of the river basins.
