2024-25 overview
Urban deliveries
39,075 ML of urban residential and non-residential deliveries were made in 2024-25, similar to the previous year (37,228 ML in 2023-24).
Wastewater recycled at treatment plants
15% of wastewater was recycled (4,961 ML of 32,571 ML), similar to 13% in 2023-24.

Barwon Water operates 4 urban water supply systems. Water is sourced from the Barwon, Moorabool and Otway Coast basins.

Recycled water
Water recycled at wastewater treatment plants can be used to supplement water available in river basins. Table 2 lists the wastewater treatment plants managed by Barwon Water. Water discharged to the environment from treatment plants is included as an inflow to the water balance for each of the river basins.
